We are currently seeking a Qualified Mental Health Nurse to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our patients.
Position Overview:
As a Qualified Mental Health Nurse, you will play a crucial role in the care and recovery of our patients. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Management: Administering prescribed medications, monitoring their effects, and ensuring patients adhere to their medication schedules.
- Wound Care: Providing wound dressing and management to promote healing and prevent infection.
- Appointment Coordination: Arranging and managing patient appointments with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Patient Monitoring: Observing and assessing patients’ mental and physical health, identifying any changes or concerns, and reporting to the appropriate team members.
- Support and Advocacy: Offering emotional support to patients and their families, advocating for their needs, and ensuring they receive appropriate care and resources.
- Education and Training: Educating patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
Qualifications:
- Education: A degree in Nursing with a specialization in mental health or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience: Previous experience in a mental health or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
- Registration: Current nursing registration with the relevant professional body.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
